Goethe-Zertifikat
The Goethe-Institut runs the Goethe-Zertifikat from A1 to C2. A1 has Start Deutsch 1 for adults and Fit in Deutsch 1 for younger learners. B1, B2, C1, and C2 are modular: reading, listening, writing, and speaking can be taken together or one module at a time. C2 is the Großes Deutsches Sprachdiplom.
How the result is given
Start Deutsch 1 is passed at 60 of 100 points, with every section taken. Fit in Deutsch 1 is passed at 30 of 60. A2 needs 60 of 100, and at least 45 of those in the written part and 15 in the oral part. From B1 to C2 a module is passed at 60 of 100. The certificate does not expire, though a university or an employer may want a recent date.
